Getting Involved: Retail

We get down to business before our planes even leave the ground. Our brochures are printed on paper that comes from sustainably managed forests, meaning that the trees are harvested carefully to avoid damaging the surrounding plants and animals, and we’ve cut the number of pages in our brochures.

We’ve also introduced brochure-less travel ‘pods’ in some shops. These allow customers to browse destinations on the web in-store and only print off the pages they want.

Our retail and call centre teams are key in encouraging customers to contribute to the World Care Fund. The scheme gives our customers the opportunity to donate money to projects that help the environment and people in our destinations across the globe. Last year we raised £1 million for The Travel Foundation, a charity that supports local communities in the places we love to visit, and ClimateCare, one of the UK’s leading carbon offset providers.
